Moza Racing is a sim racing hardware brand owned by Gudsen, a Chinese company also known for camera gimbals. Moza entered sim racing in 2021 with direct drive bases and quickly became the brand most associated with affordable direct drive, offering complete bundles at prices that previously bought belt driven wheels.
Wheel bases
The lineup runs from the R3 (3.9 Nm, available as an Xbox licensed bundle) and R5 (5.5 Nm peak, PC) through the R9 (9 Nm), R12 (12 Nm), R16, and R21. All use Moza’s own quick release and share the Pit House configuration software on PC and a mobile app. Apart from the R3 Xbox bundle, Moza bases are PC only.
Rims, pedals, shifters
- Rims: ES (11 inch, bundled), KS (300 mm GT style), GS and GS V2P (GT with display), RS (round), FSR (formula), plus rim mods for the ES.
- Pedals: SR-P Lite (bundled, Hall effect), SR-P (100 kg load cell), CRP and CRP2 (premium load cell), with clutch add-ons.
- Shifters and handbrake: HGP (H-pattern with automatic throttle blip), SGP (sequential), HBP (handbrake).
- Accessories: CM dash displays, multi function stalks, table clamps, and cockpits.
Strengths and limits
Strengths: complete bundles, competitive pricing, frequent firmware updates, and an ecosystem that grows in every direction. Limits: PC focus, with only the R3 licensed for Xbox and the first PlayStation 5 licensed products (R5S Pro, R16S Ultra) announced in September 2026 but not yet on sale; and accessories that connect to Moza bases or USB, not to other brands’ bases on console. Our roundups of direct drive wheels, pedals, and shifters cover the current products.
