SimHub is a Windows application that reads telemetry from racing games and uses it to drive external hardware and displays. It is free to use, with an optional paid license that lifts refresh rate limits, and it has become the standard hub for dashboards, bass shakers, LED strips, and DIY hardware in PC sim racing.

What it does

  • Dashboards: displays gear, RPM, lap times, fuel, and tire data on a phone, tablet, second monitor, or small screen mounted on the rig.
  • ShakeIt: converts telemetry into audio signals for bass shakers, with separate effects for engine RPM, gear shifts, wheel lock, wheel slip, road texture, and curbs, each routed to specific shakers.
  • LEDs and hardware: drives rev strips, flag lights, and Arduino based devices.
  • Overlays: on-screen widgets for streaming or single screen setups.

Games it supports

Essentially every PC racing sim, including iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Automobilista 2, rFactor 2, Le Mans Ultimate, F1, EA Sports WRC, and the truck sims. It can also read the network telemetry some console games broadcast, which enables dashboards for console players, but hardware such as shakers still needs the PC in the loop.

Why it matters when buying

Bass shakers, haptic pads, and most dash displays are only as good as the software feeding them, and on PC that software is usually SimHub. If you plan haptics, plan on a Windows PC and an afternoon configuring effects. Our bass shaker guide assumes it.
